Responsibilities

Position Summary

The Reliability Analyst Specialist plays a critical role in maintaining operational efficiency and service reliability by analyzing, monitoring, and addressing patterns in work attendance and leave of absence (LOA) among front line employees. This position is responsible for identifying behavioral trends, working with cross-functional teams, and supporting proactive strategies to manage absenteeism, ensure compliance with policies, and support the health and wellness of frontline employees.

Job Responsibilities

  • Monitor, track, and report on employee attendance, sick leave, and LOA data.
  • Identify patterns of absenteeism, excessive or patterned callouts and long-term leave usage.
  • Conduct individual case reviews of employees with recurring reliability issues and provide findings to respective leadership.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to ensure appropriate handling of cases and follow-up actions.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to reduce absenteeism and increase schedule reliability across various departments.
  • Maintain dashboards and reports for leadership on reliability metrics and trends, segmented by department as needed.
  • Responsible for completing the monthly scorecard of KPIs.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, collective bargaining agreements (CBAs), and legal requirements related to attendance, sick leave, and FMLA or equivalent leave programs.
  • Educate departmental leadership on attendance policies and expectations.
  • Collaborate with departmental managers to address root causes of reliability issues, including wellness, fatigue, or morale concerns.
  • Support early intervention strategies to reduce the need for formal discipline, ensuring consistency across all departments.
  • Work closely with HR, Labor, Employee Relations, and Leave of Absence to ensure a balanced and fair approach to attendance management.
  • Participate in regular operational and labor meetings for internal customers to provide data, trends, and strategic support.
  • Responsible for the Company's Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Specifics

Qualifications

Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience in employee relations, workforce analytics, or attendance/reliability programs.
  • Working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, sick leave policies, and relevant labor laws.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and attendance tracking systems, Microsoft Excel, and reporting tools.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify actionable trends.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to manage sensitive employee issues with discretion.
  • Ability to speak/read/write in English.
  • If hired, must be able to demonstrate that you are authorized to work in the U.S.   
Preferred
  • Associate Degree.
  • Experience in aviation.
  • Working knowledge of union and collective bargaining agreements.
  • Conflict resolution and case management skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Crew Scheduling experience.

Additional Information

Supervisory Responsibility: This is not a supervisory position. 

Delegation: In absence, responsibilities delegated to Supervisor of Air Ops Administration and Reliability.

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment.  This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, facsimile machines and filing cabinets.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; climb up and down stairs; lift weight up to 25 lbs; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
