Responsibilities

Position Summary

The Senior Inflight Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) Specialist will serve as the Comply365 Administrator and oversee the daily administration and flight attendant (FA) assistance/trouble-shooting of PSA's FA EFB program.  The Senior Inflight EFB Specialist is the subject matter expert on all EFB/tablet issues.

Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Comply365 Administrator (PSA’s document control management tool).
  • Act as the primary asset and vendor / corporate liaison with both internal and external contacts.
  • Responsible for asset management of a loaner/spare equipment pool, providing monthly asset reports to American Airlines leadership.
  • Work with American Airlines FA EFB managers and third-party vendors to ensure quality and stock of FA EFB’s and associated equipment.
  • Assist with deployment and operational testing of Applications, Betas, and iOS updates, including the research of trends and new features associated with updates.
  • Facilitate communication between PSA Inflight Services and American Airlines technology teams.
  • Monitor and support ongoing FAA regulatory compliance of the FA EFB program.
  • Participate in bi-weekly EFB/tablet team support calls.
  • Stay apprised of technology and innovation changes.
  • Support and track end-user EFB/tablet experience.
  • Provide technical support to Flight Attendants for EFB/tablet, credit card reader, and other accessories.
  • Collect user feedback and track trends for program modification.
  • Monitor and track FA Reports from the reporting app for follow-up.
  • Utilize Tableau to track statistics.
  • Coordinate with the Inflight Training & Inflight Standards team for sustainment of the FA EFB program and refresh when applicable.
  • Assist with the New Hire EFB/Tablet Training Program.
  • Assist with ensuring proper training of all base support personnel.
  • Assist with creating and maintaining an EFB/Tablet Support Guide.
  • Serve as the Administrator of the PSA FA EFB page on the employee portal.
  • Assist with updating the Electronic Device Manual, when applicable.
  • Assist with creating electronic forms for the Inflight Department utilizing Comply365.
  • Responsible for the Company's Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Specifics

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in Apple software and digital charting software.
  • Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office programs, Adobe programs, and other required software programs.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Experience with telephone conferencing and email communication.
  • Ability to speak/read/write in English.
  • If hired, must be able to demonstrate that you are authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred

  • Associate's or bachelor’s degree.
  • Aviation education and/or experience of at least two (2) years.

Additional Information

Supervisory: This is not a supervisory position.
Delegation:
In absence, responsibilities delegated to Assistant Director of Inflight Training and Standards. 
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, facsimile machines and filing cabinets.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; climb up and down stairs; lift weight up to 25 lbs; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
