Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must meet requirements described in 14 CFR Part 119.67(d).
- Thorough understanding of the applicable Federal Aviation Regulations used to determine airworthiness, repair, or alterations of an aircraft.
- Three years of experience as a certified Airframe and Powerplant technician.
- At least three years of maintenance experience on different types of large airplanes with 10 or more passenger seats with an air carrier or certificated repair station, 1 year of which must have been as maintenance inspector.
- At least one year of experience in a supervisory capacity maintaining the same category and class of aircraft as the certificate holder uses.
- Proficient computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must possess or have ability to obtain a U.S. Passport or equivalent within 90 days of starting position.
- Ability to speak/read/write in English.
- If hired, must be able to demonstrate that you are authorized to work in the US.
Additional Information
Supervisory Responsibility: This is a supervisory position
Delegation: In absence, responsibilities delegated to Director of Quality and Technical Services.
Travel: Some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
Authorities:
- Authorize employees of Company approved Repair Station or 14 CFR 121 Air Carrier which are authorized to perform Aircraft Run-Up and Taxi.
- Approve extensions to Category B and C MEL items.
- Approve, sign and request amendments to the OpSpecs. (Refer to Table 2-3 in AAG).
- Responsible for Quality operational decisions.
- Responsible for Quality budgetary recommendations.
- Communicate and coordinate with the DOM with regard to Quality issues.
- Make Quality staffing recommendations.
- Prepare and amend manuals and data affecting Quality.
- Approve changes to the RII list for the Company.
- Delegate the functions, duties, and responsibilities as appropriate; however, the authority may not be delegated.
- Modify the electronic record keeping system and ensure the integrity of data entered into the system(s)
Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, facsimile machines and filing cabinets.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; climb up and down stairs; lift weight up to 25 lbs; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
