Position Summary


The Manager of Human Resources has the overall responsibility for providing support in assigned HR functions as well as overseeing a team of HR professionals. This person works closely with teams across the company to drive success and improve existing programs. The ideal candidate should possess strong verbal and written communication skills and be comfortable working with subject matter experts from both technical and business teams. The right individual will have the ability to analyze large amounts of information and, from this, prioritize work required from the department.

Job Responsibilities

• Management of a team of HR professionals (2-4 direct reports)
• Oversee travel, employment verification, and unemployment responses
• Oversee all leave of absence functions, including FMLA and other medical leaves, personal leaves, and requests for reasonable accommodations
• Responsible for the content and revisions of PSA’s Team Member Handbook and other HR-owned policies
• Responsible for ensuring legal compliance with HR records and files, including maximizing PSA’s electronic records system (Dynafile)
• Work closely with the DEI Director to support PSA’s DEI initiatives, including work with the PSA Inclusion Council
• Serve as the liaison between various business functions, American Airlines, and IT for HR-owned projects and systems
• Attendance is considered an essential function of this position
• Adherence to all Company policies and procedures is considered an essential function of this position
• Responsible for ensuring timely responses to external information requests, including those from state and local governments, subpoenas, and employment verification requests
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department and company





• Bachelor's degree in HR/Business or equivalent

• Previous experience in Human Resources

• Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Publisher and Project)
• Must be able to speak, read and write in English
• If hired, must be able to demonstrate that you are authorized to work in the US




• Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) or HRCI certification 

• Previous HR management experience

Supervisory Responsibility: This is a supervisory position

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, facsimile machines and filing cabinets.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; climb up and down stairs; lift weight up to 25 lbs; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
Security Clearance: All employees are required to pass the fingerprint-based criminal history records check (CHRC) per 49CFR1542.209 as well as a pre-employment drug screen.
