Responsibilities

Position Summary


As a Quality Assurance Auditor, you are responsible for the execution of the Quality Assurance program through Risk Based auditing and verifying the quality of aircraft maintenance.


Job Responsibilities


• Responsible for accomplishing the audit function of the Continuing Analysis and Surveillance System (CASS) per 14 CFR 121.373 in direct support of the Manager of Maintenance Quality Assurance and the Safety Department.
• Collaborate with the team of Quality Assurance Auditors in the planning, customization, execution, documentation and analysis of aircraft maintenance audits.
• Perform onsite audits of PSA maintenance bases, Essential Maintenance Providers, Non-Essential Maintenance Providers, component repair agencies fuel and de-ice vendors.
• Review audits, author corrective action request, and disseminate to appropriate leadership personnel. Track, and follow-up on corrective action requests within set time parameters.
• Utilize and be proficient with company software (Intelex, Maintenix, and PLOT) to manage audits, audit findings, corrective action, safety risk management, and root cause analysis.
• Mentor mechanics, inspectors, and managers in industry leading aircraft maintenance techniques, practices and processes.
• Become knowledgeable of PSA systems, processes, activities and review historical audit performance to best determine audit frequency and duration.
• Participate in the continuous development of audit checklist based on CASS findings and execute audits in a manner that leads to the greatest degree of compliance, improvement, and safety.
• Interact in a professional manner with regulatory authorities, maintenance vendors, customers and company personnel.
• Complete initial and recurrent auditor training necessary to effectively conduct audits.
• Review and recommend revisions or additions to the defined checklists, forms, and schedules utilized in the audit activities.
• Participate in the process of addressing audit findings, root cause analysis, determining corrective action and measuring the results.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager of Maintenance Quality Assurance.
• Assist and support the Vice President of Safety and other senior management in projecting a strong leadership presence with a commitment to the uncompromising promotion of safety and regulatory compliance.
• To act with integrity, positively, cooperatively, efficiently and expediently in carrying out all orders, directives and requests from senior management.
• Responsible for the Company’s Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs. Foster an environment in which safety and compliance is everyone’s concern.
• In absence of the Manager of Maintenance Quality Assurance, Quality Assurance Auditors will report directly to the Director of Safety.

Required
• High school diploma or equivalent

• Proficient computer programs/skills: MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and general internet applications
• Hold or be qualified to obtain a valid U.S. Passport

• Must be able to speak, read and write in English
• If hired, must be able to demonstrate that you are authorized to work in the US.

 

Preferred

• College degree or equivalent experience
• Airframe & Powerplant License with 3 years Part 121 airline maintenance experience
• C.A.S.E. level III (1A) Certified Auditor rating
• Maintenix software experience

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional environment located within the base hangar(s). This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, facsimile machines and filing cabinets.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; climb up and down stairs; lift weight up to 25 lbs; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
Security Clearance: All employees are required to pass the fingerprint-based criminal history records check (CHRC) per 49CFR1542.209 as well as a pre-employment drug screen.
