Position Summary 
The Manager of Security and Compliance position will oversee the airport operations and corporate security department. This position will interact with company managers, union representatives, the TSA, and the FAA.
Job Responsibilities 
• Manage approved security processes related to the Operation of Company aircraft
• Supervise Security and Compliance Specialists.
• Supervise Compliance Program Manager.
• Coordinate and collaborate with Assistant Director of Airport Operations on to ensure consistent and efficient customer experience through station stakeholder initiatives.
• Coordinate with Assistant Director of Airport Operations on service and equipment changes and new stations.
• Collaborate with Assistant Director of Airport Operations on any operational initiatives and recommendations to the Regional Training Group.
• Coordinate with Assistant Director of Airport Operations to attend stakeholder meetings at hubs and crew bases and compile and disseminate relevant information to internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with all departments within PSA to ensure compliance issues are resolved in a timely manner.
• Liaise with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Principal Security Inspector (PSI) on airport and airline security issues.
• Proactively engage local TSA Federal Security Directors (FSDs), Assistant Federal Security Directors (AFSDs), and Transportation Security Inspectors (TSIs) to resolve security issues.
• Lead investigations into allegations of security violations.
• Respond to TSA Letters of Investigation (LOIs).
• Ensure compliance with all PRIA regulations.
• Monitor and ensure the FAA-Approved Drug and Alcohol Testing Program is in compliance and ensure the random testing program is conducted in accordance with industry best practices.
• Monitor all security and compliance issues to stay abreast of identifying trends in order to take appropriate steps to improve effectiveness.
• Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk with assistance from IEP and SMS Programs.
• Actively participate in PSA emergency events per Emergency Response Program.
• Assist in developing and implementing enhanced security and compliance related policies and procedures.
• Act as an alternate to the Aircraft Operator Security Coordinator (AOSC).
• Develop, document and maintain the company’s security training programs to include crew member, inflight security coordinator (SC and Ground Security Coordinator training.
• Work directly with contracted vendor who supplies security services (includes training, services, and record retention)
• Responsible for implementation of security processes during aircraft operations
• Organize, review and ensure proper email dissemination of all Security Directives, Information Circulars, TSA Guidance Material and all other security documents to appropriate departments within PSA Airlines.
• Assists all departments in maintaining compliance with all standards established by regulatory bodies and PSA.
• Assists in developing and implementing enhanced safety / security compliance related policies and procedures.
• Acts as an independent review and evaluation body to ensure that compliance issues/concerns are being appropriately evaluated, investigated and resolved.
• Collaborates with other departments to direct compliance issues to appropriate existing channels for investigation and resolution.
• Responds to alleged violation of rules / regulations through existing policy and oversight of regulatory ground handling / cargo documentation.
• Monitors, as necessary, all ground operations / security compliance issues to stay abreast of identifying trends in order to take appropriate steps to improve effectiveness.
• Provides guidance to mitigate vulnerability risk.
• Ensures proper reporting of violations or potential violations as appropriate and / or required.
• Provides reports as directed or requested by the President or company senior management.
• Performs duties referenced in Station Operations, Safety Policies and Procedures Manual (SPPM) Section 3.10
• Responsible for the Company's Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs.
• Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department and company.
• In absence, duties will be shared by the Assistant Director of Security and Compliance


• High school diploma or equivalent
• Has two years managerial experience in Airport Operations at an airline
• Working knowledge of aviation security compliance and FARs
• Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office programs.
• Ability to speak/read/write in English.
• Must be able to demonstrate authorization to work in the U.S.
•Bachelor’s degree in a safety-related field or aviation

Supervisory Responsibility: This is a supervisory position



Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment.  This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, facsimile machines and filing cabinets.
