This position provides leadership and oversight of Security, Compliance, Ground Safety, and Technical Publications Departments. The security and compliance of the airline is ensured by closely coordinating with the TSA, FAA and DOT.
• Responsible for the day-to-day operation of PSA Airlines Operations Development program for flight, inflight, dispatch, and Maintenance.
Responsible for the day-to-day operation of PSA Airlines Technical Publication Department.
Plan, direct, and coordinate curriculum development activities for PSA Airlines Operations teams
Responsible for maintaining compliance with all standards established by PSA Airlines
Responsible for the coordination and branding of curricula for Inflight, Flight, OCC, and Maintenance.
Evaluates training requirements and identifies specific training solutions to support our operations teams with industry leading training curricula and delivery methods.
Implement safety risk management processes within Training that support the principles of the Safety Management System (SMS) and this policy manual.
Enforce departmental safety objectives, which support company goals through close coordination with the Company Safety Department.
Coordinate with Directors - Flight Operations, Director - Flight Operations Technical, Director – Inflight Services, and Director – Maintenance to ensure operational safety and standardization of procedures.
Develop and implement strategies for communicating Company goals and department performance requirements to all department personnel.
Supervise, train, monitor, and assess staff member performance.
Ensure corporate standards and affirmative action programs are communicated and implemented to department personnel.
Make recommendations for the operation’s operating and capital expense budgets
Implement, monitor, and review the results of the Company Internal Audit Program
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Training and Development
Responsible for the Company's Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and Associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in either aviation, security or law enforcement.
• 3+ years of experience in aviation
• 5+ years of management experience
• Experience in Aviation regulatory security compliance
• Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office and Adobe Products
• Ability to speak, read, write in English
• Must be able to demonstrate that you are authorized to work in the US
• Experience working with TSA, US Customs, and CBSA.
• 3+ years experience administering TSA Regulation.
• 3+ years of management experience in a DOT Drug & Alcohol Program
• 3+ years of experience in law enforcement or security

Supervisory Responsibility: This is a Supervisory position
Delegation of Duties: In absence, the Vice President of Safety will handle the delegation of duty
Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, facsimile machines and filing cabinets.
